With a capacity of up to 200 persons, a sauna, wine cellar, bar, cafe, several restaurants, and its very own bakery and patisserie, the property can accommodate all the needs of our guests, whether they simply want to enjoy a family holiday in Scandinavia or organise an unforgettable event.

A venue fit for presidents
The classic architecture of the property on the outside is complemented by a quintessentially Danish interior decor. In the main building, daring modern design surfaces in all its playfulness. The communal rooms are awash with brightly coloured upholstered velvet armchairs, a reminder that this is Denmark, the design capital of the world, and bold design continues in the guest rooms, with whimsical artwork and decorative cushions. All the bedrooms and suites have their own coffee and tea-making facilities, a work desk, flat-screen TV, minibar, and free Wi-Fi. The bedrooms, ranging from 24 to 45 square metres, each have their own charm, whether overlooking the fjord or the forest. Located in the main building, the Designer Suites are decorated with furniture from leading Danish designers Hans J. Wegner and Finn Juhl; each has a living room with a dining table, a separate bedroom, a bathtub and shower, and a private large brick balcony with striking views of the fjord. Among the famed guests of the Finn Juhl suite is former American President Barack Obama.

A conference centre for corporate events
With its many comfortably furnished event spaces, the venue is the perfect location for seminars, company retreats or team-building events. The largest conference room, overlooking the venue’s elegant courtyard, is 266 square metres and can accommodate up to 350 people. There are several meeting rooms, seating 10 to 100 people, and a 46-square-metre lounge that can host casual gatherings such as brainstorming sessions or indoor team-building activities. The conference centre’s pièce de résistance is the original Chief Physician’s country house from 1911. Entirely renovated and tastefully redecorated, it features all the modern audiovisual equipment. Its two living rooms, connected by French doors and furnished with dining room tables, are perfect for peaceful meetings with idyllic views. With a private kitchen and wine cellar, it can also host stylish banquets, making it a wonderful fit for PR events, product launches or corporate parties.

Indoor and outdoor activities for families and teams
Here guests can go on a bike ride, hike in the surrounding hills or lazily saunter through the garden and relax on the sun loungers outside the library. Outdoor games can be borrowed at the front desk and enjoyed on the lawn, and the venue can lend blankets and make up picnic baskets for guests wishing to decamp to a wilder setting. In addition to the heated indoor swimming pool and sauna, there is a bathing dock for those very brave souls wishing to take a bracing dip in the fjord. For guests venturing beyond the grounds, we recommend taking a stroll through Geografisk Have, the nearby botanical gardens, or visiting the Dronning Dorotheas Bathhouse, a wellness centre with cold, seawater or fragrant baths, an outdoor sauna, and spa treatments. The Trapholt Museum is only a short walk from the venue and showcases international contemporary art as well as an impressive Danish furniture collection. For families, there is a nearby Legoland, a zoo, and an extensive waterpark. Located near Billund Airport, the venue is also accessible from Copenhagen or Hamburg, and private transfers can be arranged for your convenience.
